Sustainability at STRENESSETo the top |
Here at STRENESSE, sustainable business practice means taking social, ethical and ecological factors into consideration when defining strategy and making everyday decisions. STRENESSE has committed itself to behaving responsibly towards the environment, society and its employees. |
Animal, species and environmental protectionTo the top |
We believe that responsible use of the Earth's natural resources means taking comprehensive environmental protection into consideration in all areas of the business and also, amongst other things, ensuring that animals are treated with respect. We have a particular responsibility in areas where products of animal origin are used for clothing. We do not accept any course of action during breeding or rearing which would cause pain or suffering to animals. We do not tolerate animals being kept in conditions where they are subject to the risk of injury, illness or behavioural disorders. We do not accept any measures which endanger the existence of animal populations in the wild and have committed ourselves to the laws, decrees and export regulations of the Federal Republic of Germany in this regard. These guidelines and specifications are communicated directly to our suppliers. We expect them to respect our ethical standpoint and to supply us with goods that meet our stated requirements. Our suppliers must adhere to the respective national laws and decrees on the protection of animals. Amongst other things, this means that we only source our fur from sources which guarantee adherence to these regulations and document the origin of the fur in writing. In addition to this, STRENESSE only uses down from dead animals kept for food production. Therefore, our down is not plucked from live geese. |
Social responsibility in productionTo the top |
STRENESSE believes that developing and adhering to social standards is a key task in the production flow – both within the company at its base in Nördlingen and in its international production facilities. We produce high-quality products in various locations and adhere to all national and international laws. The standards set by us with respect to factors such as safety at work, the prohibition of child labour and a fair wage are imparted directly to our suppliers, who guarantee that social guidelines are being adhered to on site. Nevertheless, we still conduct regular checks to make sure that these are being implemented. In addition to this, we support our suppliers in every respect with the continuous advancement of social and ecological standards on site. |
Responsibility for our employeesTo the top |
Our employees are our greatest asset. We also have a responsibility to them. Here at STRENESSE, this means systematic personnel development in particular, which recognises and promotes potential in each individual employee. In addition to this, we also emphasise employee responsibility and motivation. Openness in communication and transparency in all business processes are fixed elements of the STRENESSE corporate culture and foster the commitment and personal responsibility of our employees. |
