German design aiming for the best possible quality and cut – STRENESSE has been following this tradition ever since it was founded in 1949.
The fashion house from Nördlingen in Germany is well known as a premium brand far beyond the borders of its home country, and sells its collections around the world, for example in Italy, Japan and the USA. The brand has showrooms in international fashion places such as Milan and New York.
The STRENESSE design team develops a pre and main collection each season.
The Brand “STRENESSE”
The label “STRENESSE” was established in 1969, a combination of the family name “Strehle” and the French word “Jeunesse”. In the 1990s, the “STRENESSE Blue” line was launched, and the brand was personalized by adding the designer’s name “STRENESSE Gabriele Strehle”. The first menswear collection “STRENESSE Men” appeared on the market in 2002.
Since autumn/winter 2013, all lines – including the relevant accessories – have been available under the core brand "STRENESSE”.
The Markets and Their Development
The core markets for the STRENESSE brand are the German-speaking countries, Italy, Japan, USA as well as Eastern Europe. The main focus of the international strategy lies on the development of franchise-shops, sales area concepts with wholesale partners as well as multi-label department stores (shop-in-shop).
The collection is presented in the STRENESSE showrooms in Munich, Dusseldorf, Milan, New York and Tokyo.
The majority of production is based in Europe, with fabrics primarily manufactured in Italy. The Nördlingen headquarter employs about 110 staff. Nördlingen is the center for the development of production expertise, and the training center for the technical staff that ensures STRENESSE quality is maintained throughout all production facilities.
